The Pilot Call of BRICS STI Framework Programme (the Programme) was launched in 2016. In total 4 calls for projects were completed during the first implementation phase of the Programme. The calls were mostly based on BRICS STI thematic leadership areas outlined in Brasilia Declaration and Moscow Declaration, and 105 BRICS multilateral research projects were supported as result of those calls.

By 2024 all the projects supported as result of the pilot phase have been completed, so it is a good time to look back and see the results of the conducted studies. We asked 10 projects, one per each STI thematic leadership area, to share with the BRICS research community their stories of cooperation.
